This program will be organized at a Ward Level:
YW Camp Secret Sisters is a popular LDS Girls Camp tradition where, similar to Secret Santa, each girl is assigned another participant to surprise with small gifts, notes of encouragement, or acts of service throughout the week-long camp. This activity fosters friendship, encourages service, and helps ensure every girl feels seen and supported, with identities usually revealed on the last day.
Key Aspects of YW Camp Secret Sisters:
The Goal: To build connections, foster kindness, and make every young woman feel special.
How it Works: Ward Leaders will randomly assign a "sister" before or at the start of camp. They secretly leave treats or notes on pillows or in designated areas.
Gifts: Gifts are generally small, simple, and often handmade or inexpensive items like treats, notes, or trinkets. Total amount spent should NOT exceed $15.
The Reveal: On the final day, the secret sisters reveal themselves, often with a final, special gift.
Preparation: Leaders often use a questionnaire to help girls get to know their assigned sister's favorites beforehand.
This tradition is a staple of YW camp to promote bonding and a positive, caring atmosphere.
