Headed to Camp Grizzly — Our 2026 Young Women Camp
The Camp Grizzly Retreat is nestled along the Palouse River in the Hoodoo Mountains in Latah County, Idaho. Camp Grizzly, which consists of 440 acres, is used for weeklong Scout camps for a month each summer, and during the rest of the year, it is used occasionally by the Scouts and rented to non-scouting groups.
The main camp area is about 80 acres. There is a large spacious lodge surrounded by beautiful scenery. This lodge has a kitchen/dining hall (Fischer Lodge) that will seat 250 people. The venue has Cabins, A Frames, Platform Tents, Adirondacks, two shower/ toilet facilities, picnic shelters, a small lake (O’Connell), and activity areas.
There are 2 Amphitheaters that can hold up to 300 people ( one is a fire pit and one is a chapel style). Fully stocked trout fishing pond that is approximately 8 feet deep.
Each campsite has canvas tents on wooden platforms that sleep two. Each site also has one 6-8 bunk Adirondack. There are port-o-toilets and a multi-faucet handwashing station in each site. Each site also has at least one picnic table, shade shelter, a designated fire ring and flagpole. There are several acres of beautiful lawns, trails for hiking and biking, and access to the forest roads and trails of the Hoodoo mountains.
